I have to be honest with you… I do not HEART Walgreens. Call me crazy.
I can’t tell you what it is, but my Wags trips never come out as planned. Today was a case in point. I went armed with my savvy scenario and my $5/$25 coupon. Here’s what went down:
Retail (sale prices) $62.72
OOP = $30.34
Register Rewards earned $25
Final Price $5.34
First, I can’t count (seems to be a trend today.) I bought one too many boxes of Nabisco crackers (at full price! UGH! I don’t do that?!?) and couldn’t bring myself to return it just to make my world’s perfect transaction. (Count on me to bring my full-priced Ritz to your next party!)
Second, I’m trying to break my department-store brand makeup habit (I SOOOO heart Lancome,) so I decided to purchase the Almay foundation and threw in a Rimmel mascara because I had a great coupon. Add $1.74 of mascara to my $2.00 crackers… bummer.
On a positive note, I have $25 RRs to spend on Black Friday to make a little money and get some FREE products to donate. (Check out my WAGS Black Friday scenarios!)
